Tour Brandenburg is the name of a cycle route in the state of Brandenburg , which was officially opened on July 7, 2007 in Brandenburg an der Havel . Participants in the opening were, among others, the Brandenburg Minister for Economic Affairs Ulrich Junghanns and the State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Transport, Building and Urban Development Ulrich Kasparick . It is a circular course that runs mainly near the external borders of the state, partly also in Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt . With a length of over 1000 kilometers, it is the longest long-distance cycle route in Germany.

With the exception of the state capital Potsdam , the long-distance cycle route touches almost all regions of the state that are interesting for tourists. It touches all of Brandenburg's long-distance cycle paths or uses some of their routes. New paths have also been laid out in sections. The cities and most important regions along the Brandenburg Tour are clockwise, starting in the city of Brandenburg an der Havel :

Route length

Tourismus-Marketing Brandenburg GmbH (TMB), responsible for the expansion of the long-distance cycle path, specifies the length of the Brandenburg tour as 1111 km. The bike guide recommended by the TMB from Esterbauer Verlag, on the other hand, names a length of 1065 km.
