Unbiquadium is a currently hypothetical chemical element with atomic number 124.
In the periodic table it is between the 123 Unbitrium and the 125 Unbipentium .
Since there are no natural isotopes of this element , it would have to be generated (synthesized) in an artificial way through nuclear reactions . The name is preliminary and is derived from the ordinal number. It is possibly the fourth element to have a g orbital , which would fill the fifth shell with four additional electrons . In the extended periodic table it belongs to the transactinoids ( it is not shown in the "normal" periodic table ).
Assumed properties
Unbiquadium is possibly an element of the island of stability . Some isotopes could have a half-life of a few seconds. The isotope Ubq-330 with 124 protons and 204 neutrons is possibly one of these longer-lived isotopes.
