Unbibium is a currently hypothetical chemical element with atomic number 122.
In the periodic table it is between the 121 Unbiunium and the 123 Unbitrium .
Its name is provisional and denotes the three digits of the ordinal number. It may be the second element of the periodic table to have a g orbital , which would fill the 5th shell with two additional electrons . Since there are no natural isotopes , it could at best be produced artificially by nuclear fusion .
In the extended periodic table it belongs to the transactinoids (in the "normal" periodic table it is not shown).
