The Haslam Heights are a mountain range with a north-northeast-south-southwest orientation on the Loubet coast of Graham Land in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . The peaks reach heights of around 1000 m and tower west of the Vallot and Nye glaciers on the Arrowsmith Peninsula .
The first sighting probably goes back to participants in the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition (1908–1910) under the direction of polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot . The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out a rough mapping in 1948. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them on November 13, 1985 after Rear Admiral David William Haslam (1923–2009), senior hydrographer in the Royal Navy from 1975 to 1985.
