Hassan Taherian

Hassan Taherian ( Persian حسن طاهریان; * 1948 ) is an Iranian diplomat in retirement .

Career

He graduated in law at the University of Tehran and joined the Foreign Service. He received his doctorate in law from Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) in Scotland . From 1980 to 1984 he was Chargé d'affaires in Seoul . From 1986 to 1991 he was ambassador to Seoul . From 1992 to 1993 he was ambassador to Pyongyang . In 1995 he headed the Far East department . From 1999 to 2000 he was ambassador to Dublin . In 2002 he was ambassador to Pyongyang . From August 8, 2014 to 2018, he was ambassador in Seoul .
