Mohammad Reza Bakhtiari

Mohammad Reza Bakhtiari ( Persian محمدرضا بختیاری; * 1947 ) is an Iranian diplomat in retirement .

Life

Mohammad Reza Bakhtiari has been at the California State University, Sacramento Business Administration studies. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales (New Mexico, USA).

From 1980 to 1982 he was managing director of Kashmiran Textile Manufacturing in Tehran. From 1982 to 1984 he was Managing Director of Aliaf Nylon Yarn Manufacturing. From 1984 to 1986 he was chairman of the shopping center at the Ministry of Commerce in Tehran.

In 1986 he joined the foreign service. From 1986 to 1989 he headed the Department for Economic Relations, Europe and America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Tehran). From 1989 to 1994 he was Ambassador to Brussels and he was accredited to the European Commission and Luxembourg . From 1994 to 1995 he headed the Commonwealth of Independent States department in the Foreign Ministry in Tehran. From 1995 to 1999 he headed the America Department at the State Department in Tehran. From 1999 to 2003 he was ambassador in Rabat . From 2003 to 2005 he worked as a senior diplomat and advisor to the Deputy Minister of Economics in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Tehran); From 2005 to 2007 he was Director General for Special Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Tehran); From January 8, 2008 to 2010, he was ambassador in Seoul . From 2010 to 2012 he was employed in the Foreign Ministry in Tehran.

Since 2011 he has been a consultant for international affairs at the Tehran Chamber of Commerce and Industry .
