Hauke ​​Peter Strübing (born July 2, 1938 in Glückstadt ) is a radio presenter, publisher, employee and editor of various German country magazines and webmaster of the website allaboutcountrymusic.de .

Life

The Grand Ole Opry broadcast on AFN brought Hauke ​​Strübing to country music as a teenager . He sought contact with various AFN disc jockeys. From January 1961 he published the European Country & Western Hit Parade on the basis of various country programs of the AFN . He worked for Hillbilly magazine and played a major role in the country magazines European Hayride and Country Corner from 1962 to 1964 and 1973 to 1978. For 19 years, he designed and moderated for Südfunk Stuttgart (now SWR ) and Radio Regional in Heilbronn (today: Radio Ton ) and at RMB-Radio in Waiblingen (today: Energy Stuttgart ) over 850 country and oldie programs.

From the mid-70s he made for various German record companies Country Sampler together, including for Teldec double albums Western Express , The Golden Era Of Country & Western Hits 1950-1966 , A Great Country & Western Festival , Country Music Hall Of Fame Vol 5 , for RCA Mit Banjo & Fiddle , The Best Of Country & West Vol. 6 , for EMI Masters Of Country & Western Vol. 5 - Buck Owens , for Phonogram the double album Country Jubilee , which was re-released as a Country Special . With the slogan Country Music in view for 50 years , Strübing has welcomed visitors to his homepage since May 17, 2002, on which he has published a wealth of contributions (around 400 articles by August 2005), which also provide a deep insight into the Development history of country music in general and in Germany.
