The Hauken Rock is a cliff rock in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is 1.5 km east of the Ørnen Rocks and 3 km northeast of Cape Melville , the eastern extension of King George Island .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on 1960 after the Norwegian whaling ship Hauken , which operated between January and February 1906 with the sister ship Ørnen and the factory ship Admiralen in the waters around the South Shetland Islands.
