history
After the war of liberation , several large farms were built in Schopp. This also included the Zur Tanne inn on the main road (today "Krossis") and another farmhouse to the west below it. Both buildings were built at the beginning of the 19th century by the Jacob family.
description
The house is a stately building with two floors and five window axes on the street side. The plastered building is structured with sandstone , the shutters have been removed. A slightly protruding risalit characterizes the facade. The door and the two windows in the entrance area have round arches. The gatehouse adjoins the residential building to the north . The four-sided courtyard is closed off from the street by both buildings. The ridge line of the hipped roof runs straight through.
The courtyard is located in the center of the village, two houses to the north is the former council and school building of the village, which is also listed (Hauptstrasse 13).
