Heinz Friedel

Heinz Friedel (born August 16, 1919 in Kaiserslautern ; † May 27, 2009 there ) was a German local historian , historian , archivist and author . He lived and worked in Kaiserslautern ( Rhineland-Palatinate ).

Act

Friedel worked full-time at the Kaiserslautern City Archive from 1956 to 1984 and was the head of the archive there for the last few years. After that he was a volunteer conservationist until 2003. In addition, he has published numerous books on the history of the Palatinate church , the history of the city of Kaiserslautern and the history of the (today) Kaiserslautern districts of Hohenecken and Siegelbach as well as the community of Schopp .
