description

The building at Hauptstraße 20 is a plastered building that was erected in 1788 in the Baroque style by the lawyer Anton Behringer and his wife. An inscription above the house entrance shows the names of the builders and the construction date. In 1839 the house came into the ownership of the Nöth family, who set up a wine tavern there. After its historical use as a restaurant, the building is also known as Nöths Weinstube or Gasthaus Rose .

The building has a mansard roof hunched to the side. The corners of the ground floor are decorated with grooved corner pilasters with floral ornamentation. Between the ground floor and the first floor is a horizontal, finely profiled cornice. The windows of the mansard roof have sheet metal roofing. The windows and doors have profiled garments with ornate keystones, decorated with a cross and inscriptions. The building is a fine example of a bourgeois residential building on the territory of the Teutonic Order .

The original farm buildings of the house faced north. On the south side, the building has a modern terrace-like extension.
