The house Nasarija Suchoty ( Ukrainian Будинок Назарія Сухоти ) is a listed building on the Square of Contracts no. 12 in the historic district of Podil the Ukrainian capital Kiev .

The building was built in 1804 for the Kiev businessman Nasarija Suchoty. After the major fire in Podil in 1811 , the house became an official building. As a result of the loss of Magdeburg's town charter, the Kiev city council and the city administration moved into the building in 1838. This is how the building became the symbol of the city.

After the city council had moved into a new building on the Khreshchatyk , a third floor was added to the house between 1876 and 1878 by the architect AN Kazanskyj ( А. Н. Казанський ) and from then on, with an interruption during the Russian Civil War , when it was used in 1920 Served headquarters of the Bolsheviks , used as a school building. The house has been an architectural monument since 1979.
