House Weber

description

The two-storey winegrower's house, which is now a listed building, is partly massive, partly made of half-timbering . The ground floor is plastered, the upper floor boarded up. A moderately high tiled hipped roof sits on top . The windows are arranged irregularly and some of them were enlarged in later times. On the long side, the location of a large arched gate can still be seen under plaster.

There is a wine trellis on the narrow side of the building.

The building, which is now used exclusively for residential purposes, is a “characteristic Radebeul winegrower's house, largely preserved in its original form, significant building and local history”.

history

There is no evidence of reports about a sheep farm at this point, and there are no other documented sources from ancient times. Found parts of the fountain are dated 1699. The core of the building, which stands above a very old vaulted cellar, probably dates from the late 17th century. The building stands in the area of the former, now wooded, vineyard terraces .

At the beginning of the 20th century, watercolored sketches of the building were made by the Royal Saxon Building Trade School, which record the state of the building at that time.
