Winemaker's house

Winery house Lorenz

In viticulture, winegrower's house refers to a building in which the winegrower lives. The wine press was often housed there in addition to the winegrower's apartment and the wine barrels were filled and stored in the cellar.

In larger winegrowers' houses, the apartment of the vineyard owner could still be on the upper floor if he visited his vineyard and did not own a manor house there, as well as a hall.

If there is only the wine press in the vineyard building without a winegrower's apartment, it is called a press house .
