House connection room
A house connection room ( HAR ) is the room of a house in which the house connection with the internal connection lines and operating equipment for the water supply and disposal of a house, the gas and district heating supply as well as the electrical lines and the telecommunications system are located. In addition, the lines in the house connection room are branched as intended at so-called distributors .
In the house connection room, all facilities belonging to the supply are clearly installed according to specifications in order to be able to operate, maintain and repair them safely .
Normative provisions
The installation, operating equipment and safety regulations as well as the design of the room are specified in DIN 18012. House connection rooms are not compulsory for one and two-family houses; suitable house connection walls are used accordingly .
Execution of the house connection room
House connection rooms are mostly located in the basement on the outside wall of a building facing the street. They are dry rooms with no passage that must be accessible to authorized persons and the fire brigade at all times. The minimum dimensions are up to approx. 30 residential units (WE): W = 1.80 m L = 2.0 m, H = 2.0 m, if district heating should also be there, this applies up to approx. 10 apartments. The size and number of house connection rooms depend on the number of connections and operating facilities that are to be accommodated in the connection rooms. There should always be an operating and work surface with a depth of at least 1.2 m. If the room temperature for a district heating connection is more than 30 ° C, a separate HAR must be provided for the district heating connection.
Supply lines
The following connections are usually found in the house connection room:
- Electrical connection with the house connection box ; Main equipotential bonding with equipotential bonding rail
- Drinking water supply with main shut-off device , water meter , KFR valve , filter , pipe separator EA1 and pressure reducer
- Gas supply with main shut-off device , pressure regulator , gas flow monitor and gas meter
- Waste water connection with inspection shaft in the basement floor
- District heating transfer
- Termination point of the telecommunication cable
