House connection wall

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A house connection wall is a wall in a room of a house that contains fewer than five (exception: in the supply area of Stadtwerke München (SWM) up to five) residential units. On the house connection wall is the house connection with the internal connection lines and operating equipment for the water supply and disposal of a house, the gas and district heating supply as well as the electrical lines and the (possibly existing) telecommunications system. On the house connection wall, the lines at so-called distributors are branched as intended. The house connection wall thus differs from the house connection room , which is mandatory for houses with five or more residential units and must meet additional requirements, such as certain minimum dimensions or must be located on the inside of an external wall.

On the house connection wall, all the facilities required to supply the house are clearly installed according to specifications in order to be able to operate and maintain them safely.

Normative provisions

The installation, operating equipment and safety regulations as well as the design of the house connection wall are specified in DIN 18015.

Location of the house connection wall

House connection walls must be accessible via generally accessible rooms, such as the stairwell, the basement corridor or directly from outside, without violating the privacy of the apartment owners. When arranging the equipment such as meters, distributors or amplifiers, the same provisions apply as these apply to house connection rooms and are specified in DIN standard 18012. In contrast to the house connection room, however, a house connection wall does not necessarily have to be located on the inside of an outside wall of the building.

Supply lines

The following connections are usually found on the house connection wall:
