Publishing house in Haan-Gruiten

The Europa-Lehrmittel Nourney publishing house, Vollmer GmbH & Co. KG , based in Haan ( Gruiten district ) near Düsseldorf, develops educational media for vocational training, further education and training for use in vocational schools, universities, companies and further education institutions. Industrial-technical and commercial, social and health as well as gastronomic professions are covered. The content is in print and digital formats, including a. offered as apps, simulations, software and exam preparation portal. The publisher has its own digital learning platform, the Europathek .

history

The publishing house was founded in Wuppertal in 1948 . The first books appeared. The development office in Eislingen / Fils was set up to create the technical drawings for the textbooks - today it is the publishing house's drawing office in Ostfildern . A little over 40 years later, today's company building was erected in Haan-Gruiten in 1989 .

In 1997, Europa-Lehrmittel acquired the specialist book publisher Pfanneberg with its program for gastronomic professions. Additional program extensions in the vocational training were made with the titles of the publishers Lau, Gerber, Pluspunkt, program parts of the publishing house Handwerk und Technik and the Gildebuchverlag.

In 2013, the scientific and technical university titles from the Harri Deutsch publishing house were taken over, including Bronstein's “Taschenbuch der Mathematik”. The first exam apps from Europa-Lehrmittel also appeared.

The publisher has had its own digital learning platform, the Europathek, since 2017. In addition, in the same year the platform “Prüfdoc” went online, which enables targeted online preparation for exams and exams.

In 2018, the titles of the Düsseldorf-based SOL publishing house on self-organized learning were added to the program.

Other Information

In the program, which now includes well over 2000 print and digital offers, appear u. a. Well-known specialist titles on metal, automotive and electrical engineering (specialist customers and books of tables, e.g. the "Metal table book"), on business administration and standard works for gastronomic professions (e.g. "The young cook").

Many titles are also published as licensed editions in over 20 different languages ​​in all parts of the world.

All content is presented in an annual general catalog, on the website and in schools, in companies and at trade fairs and congresses.

The publisher is a member of the German Housekeeping Council .

Digital educational media

Europathek : In addition to digital books, the Europathek also provides media packages, additional materials and e-learning content. The content of the media shelf can be used online in a browser. In addition, there are software versions and apps for offline use that can be used to access the titles after downloading.

Exam doc : Exam doc offers web-based learning, practice and repetition to prepare for the tasks of the intermediate and final exams. It contains simulations of the tests with direct evaluation of the results.
