history
In 1855 Heinrich Moritz Hauschild (1825–1904) became a partner in a printing company in Bremen, Langenstrasse 99, with the company name Bünsow & Hauschild. Bünsow left the modest company in 1859. The company had great success at the end of the 19th century. From 1856 to 1875 the printer produced the emigrant newspaper and from 1900 to 1907 and again from 1924 to 1929 the Lloyd newspaper . In 1901 the new office building at Langenstrasse 35–37 could be moved into. In 1902 HM Hauschild retired and his sons continued to run the company. The company developed into a large company. The Hauschild calendar with old views of Bremen was well known. Offset printing was introduced in 1922. From 1928 the Bremen church newspaper appeared in house sign printing and from 1936 to 1943 the magazine Der Schlüssel .
In 1944 the office building was destroyed by bombs. In 1945 the company in Sebaldsbrück was able to go back into operation. After Adolf Hauschild died in 1950, the widow continued to run the company until it was sold to Kaffee Hag and then to General Foods . Company employees took over the company management. In 1980 a company building was built in Bremen-Osterholz . The publisher produces regional literature, especially Bremen .
On August 23, 2013, HM Hauschild and its subsidiary Werbedruck Bremen filed for insolvency at the Bremen District Court!
On November 7, 2013 it was announced that Werbedruck Bremen will continue to operate as WB Verpackungen GmbH. It is currently unclear how things will continue with the publisher HM Hauschild.
