Heinrich Moritz Hauschild (* 1825 in Meißen ; † March 25, 1904 in Bremen ) was a German publisher and is considered the founder of Hauschild Verlag ( H. M. Hauschild GmbH ).
biography
Hauschild had been married to Florentine Emilie Bahr from Schandau since 1855 ; both had ten children. In 1854 his friend Christoph Dietrich Bünsow had already acquired a license for a printing company in Bremen. Hauschild followed him to Bremen in 1855 and became a partner in the Bünsow & Hauschild company , which had its headquarters at Langenstrasse 99.
The printing company initially had rather modest successes and Bünsow left again in 1859. The printing house was then able to develop successfully into a publishing house and a printing company. He printed u. a. from 1856 to 1875 the emigrant newspaper , the Lloyd newspaper , the Bremen church newspaper , the magazine Der Schlüssel and the Hauschild calendar . In 1901 the company moved to the new commercial building at Langenstrasse No. 35/37 and the company became a large-scale operation.
In 1902 Hauschild left the management of the company and two of his sons, Victor and Adolph, took over the publishing house. After the death of the youngest son Adolph Hauschild (1868–1950), the business was transferred to Kaffee HAG (now Mondelēz International ) and merged with Angelsachsen-Verlag .
