The house animals ( Metacystis lagenula ) is a Protistenart from the group of ciliates . It occurs in moss pads such as sphagnes , and in trenches.
features
Metacystis lagenula lives in a solid housing. It can quickly withdraw into this. The species grows to a size of 30 micrometers , the housing 50 to 60 micrometers high. Around the edge of the atrium are groups of eyelashes arranged in two wreaths. These swirl bacteria to the throat. In the cytoplasm there are several zoochlorella and two contractile vacuoles . The entoplasm is dark.
