The Haute randonnée pyrénéenne (HRP) or Haute route pyrénéenne is a long-distance hiking trail in the Pyrenees .

The HRP runs as close as possible to the main ridge of the Pyrenees and therefore mostly between the French long-distance hiking trail GR 10 and the Spanish GR 11 . The HRP therefore moves over long distances in open high alpine terrain. It is not marked continuously, but only described in guides and drawn in maps. The exact design, i.e. the course of the route, division into daily stages, selection of tent sites, intermediate descents for provisioning leaves the walker plenty of room for self-organization and improvisation.
