Havkenscheid (noble family)

Havkenscheid is the name of a Westphalian noble family. His seats included the Havkenscheid House , a decayed manor in Altenbochum , and the Lohmann House in the village of Westick near Kamen .

According to Franz Darpe, Haus Havkenscheidt was a fiefdom of the Isenberg family , later a Limburg-Styrum fiefdom. Around 1340 there is a Theodoricus de Havekenschede in the documents . The documents name a Diderich in 1437. On November 23, 1470 invested Wilhem van Limborch to Stierhem the Dirich van Havekeschede (* around 1430, † before 1485), son of the late Diriche, with the Good to Havekeschede in the parish and court Boichem . The measuring grain register from 1513 mentions a Dirick from Havekenschede. Elisabeth , Melchior von Havkenscheid's daughter , brought the estate into her marriage to Goswin von Düngelen , who also owned the Dahlhausen house .

From around 1561 the von Haffkenscheidt also sat at Haus Lohmann in the village of Westick near Kamen . The complex was probably the castle seat of the von Westick family in the 14th century. The documents mention enfeoffments in 1562 for Jaspar von Haveckenschede , 1568 for Jörgen von Haveckenschede , 1585 for Georg von Havekenscheidt and 1598 for Diedrich von Havekenschede († 1600). After all, his brother-in-law is called Goswin von Düngelen .
