Heaval ( Gaelic : Sheabhal ) is a hill on the Scottish Hebridean island of Barra . It is the highest point on the island. The 383 m high elevation is located about 1.5 kilometers northeast of Castlebay , the main town on the island, which is also the closest settlement. The second and third highest elevations on Barra are Ben Tangaval with 332 m and Ben Cliad with 206 m. A marble statue of the Madonna is placed on the southern flank.
