Hector Tricoche

Hector Tricoche (born June 29, 1955 in Juana Díaz , Puerto Rico ) is a Puerto Rican salsa musician who shares the title Original Salsa King with other artists . His styles include Salsa and Latin Pop .

Career

Hector Tricoche became known in the 1990s for his own musical compositions. He made a name for himself with his impressively high and melodic voice and his talent for improvisation. Tricoche began his career in the band of Tommy Olivencia , which was strongly characterized by a focused horn component and salsa and swing elements. In 1987 Tricoche sang the hit "Lobo Domesticado" on the album 30 Aniversario on the occasion of Tommy Olivencia's birthday, which reached a high chart position. In 1990 Tricoche left Tommy Olivencia's band and became a solo artist. He was replaced by Héctor "Pichy" Pérez, who left his own group Sonora Ponceña to sing at Olivencia. Hector Tricoche had several appearances in salsa nightclubs and sang live at the Calle Ocho Festival in Miami and the Miami Airport Hilton. As a result of his humorous interludes and spontaneous salsa dances with the audience during his shows, he gained a reputation as a great entertainer. His orquester was also known for his intricately arranged brass solos. In the USA he released nine albums. His greatest hits included songs like "Macho Perez", "Motorizame", "A Corazon Abierto", "Noche Sensacional", "Y Dice el Maricón - En Cuba No Falta Nada", "Periquito Pin Pin" and "No soy automático ".
