Hedemora Gammelgård is the local home club of the Swedish town Hedemora powered farm, who is also the open-air museum serves. The farm was inaugurated in 1915, making it one of the oldest of its kind in Sweden. Several agricultural buildings typical of the region were built on the site . The collection includes around 4,500 agricultural implements. Here scythes dominate , as there was a nationally important scythe forge in the village. A café is open in the yard in the summer months. The official midsummer festival of Hedemora takes place every year on the farm.

The property for the farm at Lake Hönsan was given to the association in 1908 by the local government. The local politician and amateur historian Karl Potsig (1859–1939), who is honored with a bust on the site, was particularly active in setting up the open-air museum. One of the first buildings to be transferred to the museum was a semi-detached house from the village of Vikbyn. At the inauguration on June 12, 1915, there were 8 buildings on the site.
