Scott Dureau (born July 29, 1986 in Taree , New South Wales ) is a former Australian rugby league player.

Career

Dureau initially played rugby for the Port Macquarie Sharks. In 2007 he made his debut for the Newcastle Knights against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles . In July 2010, Newcastle coach Rick Stone recommended him to find a new club, as with Jarrod Mullen , Kurt Gidley and the newcomers Ben Rogers and Beau Henry four other players were on the scrum / connector position in Newcastle's squad.

In 2011 he signed a contract with the Dragons Catalans . He was in the starting line-up as a connector from the start and was elected to the Super League Dream Team in his first year . In 2012 he was re-elected to the Super League Dream Team and won the Albert Goldthorpe Medal .

In 2012 Dureau played twice with the Exiles against England . In the first game, which the Exiles lost 10:18, he kicked a raise. In the second game that the Exiles won 32:20, he put a try.

In 2013 and 2014, he missed most of the season due to a benign tumor behind his eye that had to be surgically removed. On June 30, 2014, he signed a contract with the Sydney Roosters , but he was never used.

In 2015 he returned to the Dragons Catalans and ended his career at the end of the season.
