Samuel Levi Tomkins (born March 23, 1989 in Milton Keynes , Buckinghamshire ) is an English rugby league player for the Dragons Catalans in the European Super League . Before that he played for the Wigan Warriors , with an interlude with the New Zealand Warriors in the Australian NRL . He started out at the age of seven for the Chorley Panthers RLFC , then played for Wigan St. Patricks . Since 2009 he has appeared 25 times for the English national team. He also completed a rugby union game for the Barbarians , where it a attempt succeeded. In 2012 he won the Man of Steel Award . With the Wigan Warriors, he has won the Super League Grand Final three times and the Challenge Cup twice . In 2019 he took part in the World Cup in the 9-rubgy for the English national team .
