In March 2011, two outer three-quarters of Leeds were injured, Ben Jones-Bishop and Lee Smith , which is why he was ordered back by them. His debut was in round six against St Helens , in which he put a try. He played only irregularly during the regular season. In the quarterfinals against the Huddersfield Giants , he scored a hat trick and was voted Man of the Match . In the Grand Final, which Leeds won 32:16 against St Helens, Hardaker also tried.

With Leeds he won the Super League Grand Final 26:18 against the Warrington Wolves and the World Club Challenge 26:12 against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles , was elected Super League Young Player of the Year and made his debut for England .

At the beginning of the 2013 season, he broke his thumb during a game against Salford, which prevented him from participating in the 2013 World Club Challenge. He was originally part of the English squad for the Rugby League World Cup 2013 , but was later removed from the squad due to an unspecified incident.

In 2014 he won the Challenge Cup with Leeds and was elected to the Super League Dream Team. In 2015 he won the Challenge Cup again and was again elected to the Super League Dream Team, he also won the Man of Steel Award, which is the first time since 1998 that a Leeds player has won the award.

Controversy

In 2014, Hardaker had to make a public apology after insulting Warrington's captain Michael Monaghan in homophobic terms during a game. He was also banned for five games and was fined £ 300.

In March 2015, Hardaker and his teammate Elliot Minchella were arrested and interrogated by police for an alleged assault on a 22-year-old college student, missing a game against Warrington. Hardaker was not charged, but pleaded guilty to the crime and as a result had to pay £ 200 in compensation and write a letter of apology to the student. In addition, he had to undergo internal disciplinary measures.
