Until December 2006, Hedensted Municipality was a Danish municipality in what was then Vejle Office in Jutland . Since January 2007 it has been part of the new Hedensted municipality together with the municipalities of Juelsminde and Tørring-Uldum (excluding the parish of Grejs ) .
Hedensted municipality was newly formed as part of the administrative reform of 1970 and comprised the following Sogn :
- Daugård Sogn
 - Hedensted Sogn
 - Korning Sogn
 - Løsning Sogn
 - Store Dalby Sogn
 - Urlev Sogn
 - Ølsted Sogn
 - Ørum Sogn
 - Øster Snede Sogn
