Until December 2006, Horsens Municipality was a Danish municipality in what was then Vejle Office in Jutland . Since January 2007 it has been part of the new Horsens municipality together with Gedved and Brædstrup municipalities (excluding the eastern part of Voerladegård parish ) .

Horsens Municipality was re-established as part of the administrative reform of 1970 and, in addition to the city of Horsens, included the following Sogn :
