Hedwig von Gutenstein (* unknown; † probably 1285 in Wald (Hohenzollern) ) was a Cistercian and abbess .

Life

Hedwig von Gutenstein belonged (probably) to the Staufer family of ministries from Gutenstein , whose brothers Konrad and Werner von Gutenstein were named as witnesses in the foundation of the Wald monastery in the "Walder Stiftungsbrief" of 1212. At least until August 1, 1279, she was the head of the Cistercian order in the Wald monastery.
