The Hegelmann Group is an international logistics service provider . The activity of the company, founded in 1998, comprises goods traffic by land as well as the associated logistical tasks. The group of companies currently (as of 2019) has 28 branches in 14 European countries and Kazakhstan with headquarters in Bruchsal, Baden-Württemberg . Around 7,300 people work for the group across Europe and generate total sales of over 630 million euros per year (as of 2019).
With around 3700 trucks, the group of companies is one of the largest European customers of commercial vehicle manufacturers Krone , Schmitz Cargobull , Mercedes-Benz , MAN and DAF . At Daimler, the 1000th Mercedes-Benz Actros was handed over at the Wörth production site in 2018. This trend continued towards the end of 2018, so the vehicle fleet was expanded with an order for 2500 new tractor units and 1000 trailers. In addition to the constant expansion of the vehicle fleet, Hegelmann also relies on the latest technology such as telematics to enable effective controlling via remote monitoring.
Business areas
The group of companies offers a variety of different transport services. Land transport includes container logistics, waste & special transports, food transports, pharmaceuticals transports, express transports, dangerous goods transports, automobile transports, automobile transports and high value transports and a dry storage facility located on the A5 motorway. The high demand in Europe for these services has boosted the company's growth to a disproportionate 900% over the past seven years.
