Heathen spirit
Heidegeist (also: good Heidegeist ) is a herbal schnapps that is particularly widespread in the Lüneburg Heath .
Heidegeist contains a total of 31 heather herbs and has an alcohol content of 50%. It is clear in color and strong in taste.
Originally made by CW Baland & Langebartels from Celle , Heidegeist is now produced by Schwarze & Schlichte in Oelde , just like Ratzeputz . It is available in six different bottle sizes.
The schnapps is drunk neat, well chilled, or used in cocktails and for cooking. Especially in the Lüneburg Heath a mixture with the ginger schnapps Ratzeputz is widespread under the name 108er , which can be attributed to the addition of the alcohol content of 50% and 58%.
