Heidegrund was a municipality in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt until January 1, 2010 .

history

The community belonged to the administrative community Wethautal . It came into being on March 1, 2004 from the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent communities of Kleinhelmsdorf and Weickelsdorf .

On January 1, 2010, the municipality of Heidegrund was incorporated into the city of Osterfeld together with the municipalities of Goldschau and Waldau .

The municipality of Heidegrund had 667 inhabitants (2008) on an area of ​​9.88 km³.
