Heidemarie Berger

Heidemarie Berger (born April 1, 1944 in Gleisweiler ) is a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school , she completed an apprenticeship as a social security employee and then worked in this profession. From 1968 she worked as a housewife. In 1973 Berger graduated from a university of applied sciences and studied social work at the University of Essen. After graduating, she worked in various positions at the Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband .

Berger has been a member of the SPD since 1965. She was and is represented in numerous SPD bodies. She was also a member of the Trade, Banks and Insurance Union from 1958 to 1968 and, since 1978, a member of the Public Services, Transport and Traffic and Workers Welfare Union .

MPs

From May 31, 1990 to June 1, 2000 Berger was a member of the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia . She was elected directly in constituency 080 Essen VI.

She was a member of the City Council of Essen from 1977 to 1979.
