Heidemarie Brosche (* 1955 in Neuburg an der Donau ) is a German children's , youth and non-fiction author and teacher .

Life

Heidemarie Brosche grew up in Neuburg / Donau. After graduating from high school, she studied in Augsburg and Regensburg and then worked as a secondary school teacher until she took leave in 1986 because of the birth of her first child and shortly afterwards began writing texts for and about children.

In 1991 she received a teaching position at the University of Munich on the subject of "Children's and Young People's Literature in German Lessons at Secondary School ". Over time, she expanded her repertoire to include non-fiction and youth books.

In 2002 she returned to school as a part-time secondary school teacher.

For many years she has held readings, lectures and workshops on numerous of her books nationwide.

Heidemarie Brosche has three children and lives with her husband in Friedberg near Augsburg .
