Heidgen is a district of Mohlscheid in the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .
location
Heidgen lies between Meisenbach and the old town center of Mohlscheid. Other neighboring towns are Scherpekotten in the northwest and Weiert in the east.
history
In 1830 Heidgen had 17 residents. In 1845 the place had seven Protestant residents in two houses. In 1888 there were 30 residents in five houses.
In 1910 the families Ackerer Robert and Ackerin's widow Wilhelm Mackenbach, day laborer August Roth and Ackerer Karl and Wilhelm Steeger lived in Heidgen .
The village belonged to the community of Seelscheid until 1969 .
