Heidi Ilgenfritz

Heidi Ilgenfritz (born January 23, 1968 in Munich ) is a German musician .

Life

Heidi Ilgenfritz studied at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich from 1989 to 1994 dulcimer with Karlheinz Schickhaus, double bass with Cajus Oana and recorder with Hermann Elsner. After completing her postgraduate studies, she was the first female dulcimer to pass her artistic maturity examination in 1996. Since then she has given concerts on the dulcimer and as a double bass player in various classical chamber music ensembles as well as in folk music ensembles. Concert tours have taken her to Austria, France, the Czech Republic and Switzerland. She has also recorded numerous CDs.

From 1996 until the transformation into a branch of the Rosenheim Music School in 2018, she headed the music community in Neubeuert. In 1997 she founded the Raubling Children's Choir, which she has been leading ever since. Since 2000 she has been teaching at the Rosenheim Music School; since 2010 she has also worked there as the deputy head of music school. In 2002 she passed the newly introduced diploma music teacher examination in the main subject dulcimer. In Germany and Austria she is a regular member of competition juries. She publishes a series of contemporary dulcimer music for the Schweinfurt music publisher Vogt & Fritz. Heidi Ilgenfritz is married to the composer Roland Leistner-Mayer .
