Karel Heijting
Karel Heijting (born May 1, 1883 in Kutoarjo , Purworejo , † August 1, 1951 in Paris ) was a Dutch football player .
Heijting first played for Swift Den Haag in 1899 , but joined HVV Den Haag a year later . He played 17 international matches for the Dutch national team and was part of the Dutch team that won the bronze medal at the 1908 Olympics .
In 1914 Heijting emigrated to France and joined the Foreign Legion . In the First World War he was wounded and taken prisoner of war. After his release he returned to France, where he died in Paris in 1951.
