Heike Sahm (* 1966 ) is a German specialist in German .

Life

During her studies in Kiel and Tübingen , she received a scholarship from the Göttingen Graduate School Church and Society from 1994 to 1997 . Century . After completing her doctorate in 1997 at the University of Tübingen , she was a research assistant at the University of Cologne from 1997 to 2007 . After her habilitation in 2006 at the University of Cologne , she was a Feodor Lynen scholarship holder at the University of Cambridge from 2007 to 2008 . From 2008 to 2009 she taught at the Jacob Grimm Visiting Professorship at the Georg August University in Göttingen . From 2009 to 2013 she was a research assistant at the University of Siegen . Since 2013 she has been teaching as a professor at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen.

Her main focus is on European heroic poetry of the early and high Middle Ages, urban literature of the late Middle Ages, historical anthropology, media history, the Middle Ages in teaching and German studies in the 19th century.
