Katrin Axel-Tober

Katrin Axel-Tober (* 1976 in Schorndorf ) is a German linguist .

Life

She studied German and English at the Universities of Tübingen and Cambridge . From 2000 to 2006 she was a research assistant at the Collaborative Research Center 441 Linguistic Data Structures at the University of Tübingen. After completing her doctorate in 2005 at the University of Tübingen on the subject of studies on Old High German syntax: left sentence periphery, verb placement and second verb , she was a research assistant at the Chair of Modern German Linguistics at Saarland University from 2006 to 2009 . After her habilitation in 2009 at Saarland University on the subject of (non-) canonical subordinate clauses in German: synchronous and diachronic aspects , she taught from 2009 to 2010 as professor of German philology / historical linguistics of German at the University of Göttingen . Since 2010 she has been Professor of German Linguistics at the University of Tübingen.
