Heike Spies (* 1960 in Düsseldorf ) holds a doctorate in German and is deputy director of the Goethe Museum (Düsseldorf) .

Heike Spies studied German and geography (first and second state examination) at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf . In 2006 she was awarded a doctorate in German studies with a thesis on "Literature in Droste-Hülshoff's letters". phil. PhD. She has been working at the Goethe Museum in Düsseldorf since 1991. In 1996 she took over the position of curator and deputy director of the museum. The author has curated exhibitions since 1995 and given lectures on national and international panels on Goethe in his time. She is a board member of the Thomas Mann Society in Düsseldorf .
