The altar shrine and its carved figures were created around 1450 and redesigned in 1974. The baptismal font was made between 1400 and 1430 in an unknown bronze foundry. During this time the children were still completely immersed when they were baptized. The outer wall of the ore baptism is decorated with numerous reliefs, u. a. a symbol of Cologne Cathedral. This mirror sign shows the adoration of the Blessed Mother by the Magi. Other signs depicting a mercy seat from Werl and a pilgrim sign from Thann point to places of pilgrimage that have been popular since the late 14th century. Further reliefs are a lion medallion, symbol of the evangelist Mark, a winged bull as a symbol of the evangelist Luke and an eagle, symbol of the evangelist John. Other plaques show the apostle Paul with a raised sword, the apostles Peter and Paul, the enthroned Mother of God as well as the rhombus and rose. A brass bowl, which is placed in the baptismal font, has been used for baptisms since the Reformation. In a niche in the chancel there was a sacrament shrine from the 15th century, today it is under the north gallery. The crucifix is from the 14th century. Of the pulpit, which was built in 1891, only the pulpit remains. Paintings on the walls depict Christ as ruler of the world and four evangelists on the side walls.

The bell tower with four bells is dated to the year 1417 according to the latest dendrochronological studies. The oldest bell was cast as early as 1350, the second oldest dates from 1587 and bears the inscription "Help Got tu Er unde Selicheit". The two big bells were cast in 1974. In 2001 the tower was restored.

In 1832 the church was rebuilt. To finance the renovation, church windows with stained glass and the inscription "1306 Wolterdingen" were sold to Verden Cathedral for 10 gold pistols and 30 thalers. In 1925 the church was expanded again to include an extension in the late Art Nouveau style, as the space was no longer sufficient for the growing community.

In 1998 the church was restored according to the standards of monument protection and rededicated on August 27, 2000. Remnants of Gothic wall paintings were discovered during the work.
