The church is located in the middle of Osnabrück's Sonnenhügel district on Lerchstrasse.
history
The church was planned according to the plans of the architect Johannes Garthaus. On Whit Monday 1954, Archbishop Wilhelm Berning laid the foundation stone of the church from the rubble of the Osnabrück Cathedral , which was damaged in World War II.
In January 2010 the parish was merged with the parishes Christ King from Haste and St. Franziskus in Dodesheide to form the new parish Christ King.
The church space was reduced in size in 2017/18 in favor of the attached daycare.
