The Holy Spirit Monastery is a monastery of the Steyler Mission Sisters in Wickede - Wimbern .

In 1950, the Steyler Mission Sisters acquired land for the monastery from Max Freiherr von Boeselager from Vosswinkel Castle Höllinghofen . After two years of construction, the monastery was occupied in the spring of 1956. On May 2, 1956, Archbishop Lorenz Jaeger consecrated the monastery church.

The monastery, originally intended for training in missionary service, today mainly serves as a retirement home for almost 100 sisters and has a nursing ward.

The house is also open to individuals and groups. The sisters offer spiritual guidance to women. Courses to deepen the spiritual life are offered, such as days of reflection, retreats or an introduction to contemplative prayer .

The monastery is also home to the regional team of the Missionary Holy Spirit Community (MHGG).
