The Roman Catholic Heilig-Grab-Kapelle Henndorf as Heilig-Grab-Kapelle stands to the west outside the cemetery of the parish church Henndorf in the municipality Henndorf am Wallersee in the state of Salzburg . The chapel is a listed building .

history

The chapel was built in 1721 in the style of the baroque formula-like replica of the tomb of Christ in Jerusalem. The model at the foundation by Johann Entzinger has been preserved.

architecture

The five-fold closed building with corner brackets and slotted windows has a rectangular portal in the front building with the year 1722. The tomb is surrounded by historicizing pointed arch arcades on Tuscan columns. On the ridge is a rotunda-like octagon tambour with a domed helmet. The vestibule under a vaulted concrete barrel is closed on the apse with a low apex door. The grave room has a square vault . The floor slabs are made of marble.

Furnishing

In the grave niche is the lying figure of Christ from the 18th century. There is a niche figure of a kneeling man of sorrows from the first half of the 18th century.
