The Holy Cross Church of Maliana

The Holy Cross Church of Maliana ( Portuguese Igreja de Santa Cruz de Maliana , tetum Santa Crus ) is the provisional cathedral of the East Timorese diocese of Maliana, founded in 2010 . It is located in Suco Lahomea , near the bishopric, in the east of the city of Maliana . The compact building with a tower previously served as Maliana's parish church.

In 2016, the foundation stone was laid for the construction of the Sacred Heart Cathedral (Catedral do Sagrado Coração de Jesus) , which is to take over the function of the Holy Cross Church.
