The Home Glacier is a glacier on the Loubet coast of Graham lands north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows south in the southeastern part of the Arrowsmith Peninsula to the icy Jones Canal . Together with the Antevs Glacier to the north, it forms a transverse depression that extends to the south-western section of the Lallemand Fjord .
The glacier was first sighted in 1936 during the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill . The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey explored the lower section of the glacier in 1949 . He named the glacier after the Swiss geologist Albert Heim (1849–1937), author of the standard work Handbuch der Gletscherkunde published in 1885 .
