Moringen local history museum

The Moringen Local History Museum is a local history museum in Moringen in the Northeim district in Lower Saxony . It has been housed in the former castle complex of Moringen, a moated castle from the 13th century, since June 20, 1981 , and is operated by the Moringen Local History Association.

In addition to exhibitions on agriculture , handicrafts , trade and household , the history of the town of Moringen is presented on an area of ​​950 m². In addition to a model of Moringen, which was almost completely destroyed by fire in 1734, books, pictures, photos and equipment on the subject are on display. The museum also houses one of the most important flag collections in Lower Saxony.
