Egense Kirke

Egense Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Fyn ( German : Funen ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Sunds Herred in what was then Svendborg Office , then to Svendborg Municipality in Fyns Office , which was merged into the "new" Svendborg Municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

2541 inhabitants live in the parish, 1,899 of them in the coastal town of Rantzausminde (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Egense Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring communities are Øster Skerninge Sogn and Ollerup Sogn in the west, Kirkeby Sogn in the north and Sørup Sogn and Sankt Jørgens Sogn in the east .
